To the Fishes

I am looking at a calm stream.
The water looks crystal clear – Trust me, I can see the bed rocks…
I know that the depth of the stream is not more than my legs’ height.
Curious to see what’s happening in the water,
I stepped into the stream…
The cold water sent brisk vibes to my sleepy brain in an instant.
I took one step at a time…
The only hindrance is the bright sunlight.
Sun has decided to make my life tough today though.
However, nature always finds a way.
I felt the tingling of a fish right on my toe…
I pulled my leg off that tiny creature in the next moment.
What would have the fish thought?
Maybe he would have thought that someone is intruding his habitat – or
Maybe he would have thought that I am his friend and I am visiting him…
Either way – I am not in the mood to keep on asking questions and finding answers…
Not intending to disturb my tiny little marine friend,
I stepped back to the shore…
There is something for all of us to learn from nature…
I think I’ve learnt my lesson for the day!
