Raindrops

I looked up at the blue sky.
Sunlight seemed to dim a bit…
Lightning rolled here and there…
White clouds spread all over…
Birds try to return home…
I am walking on the pavement.

Winter is around the corner.
The storm rages in full speed…
I forgot to hear the weather update today…
People rush to return to homes…
All of life came to a standstill…
I am walking on the pavement.

Vehicles rush with full speed.
Dogs return to their masters
Children left their school…
Trees never took a break to circulate wind…
Wish I was in home drinking coffee…
I am walking on the pavement.

No doubts – Water is the elixir of life.
Rain makes the land fertile…
Rain gives bliss to our tired souls…
Rain makes life possible…
I remember myself praying for the rain…
I am walking on the pavement.

Rain is a prayer well-answered.
My thoughts continue to linger…
I slowed down my walk…
Raindrops started to fall on me…
Earth thanked sky for the rain…
I continued to walk on the pavement.
